California probate form DE-157 Notice of Administration to Creditors

California probate form DE-157 Notice of Administration to Creditors is a vitally important form for protecting the Executor from any problems when probate is over. By that notice the Personal Representative puts ALL KNOWN or reasonable ascertainable creditors on notice of the probate. It gives the creditors a minimum of 60 days to file a claim against the estate. It is important that the Administrator put ALL POSSIBLE CREDITORS ON NOTICE. This gives the PR the best protection after the estate closes from late claims. If in doubt put them on the list! This includes heirs, beneficiaries, family, friends and ANYBODY who the decedent might owe money to or who might think the decedent owed money to.
